Do I need Sonic Academy KICK 2 to use Astralis?
You need KICK 2 if you want to use and edit the included KICK 2 presets. The pack also includes rendered WAV and AIFF kick samples, so you can still use the sounds directly in any DAW without opening KICK 2.
Does Astralis work with KICK 3?
Yes. The included KICK 2 presets are compatible with Sonic Academy KICK 3. You can open, use and edit them in the newer version of the plugin.
Is KICK 2 or KICK 3 included with the pack?
No. Astralis includes presets and rendered kick samples only. The Sonic Academy KICK 2 and KICK 3 plugins are not included.
What version of KICK 2 do I need?
Astralis works with Sonic Academy KICK 2 v1.1.1 or higher.
Can I use the WAV and AIFF samples in any DAW?
Yes. The rendered kick samples work in any DAW that supports audio files, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Bitwig, Studio One and more.
Are the kicks ready to use in tracks?
Yes. The pack includes finished audio versions of the kicks, so you can drag them into your project and use them straight away. If you want more control, load the presets in KICK 2 or KICK 3 and adjust the shape, punch, pitch and character.
Can I use Astralis in commercial releases?
Yes. You can use the presets and rendered samples in your own commercial and non-commercial tracks without paying additional royalties.
Can I resell or share the presets or samples?
No. You may use them in your own music, but you may not resell, redistribute, share, upload, or include the presets or samples in another sound pack.
